This ride was on Oct 12 08 Our ride is to War Eagle mountings and on to the mining community of Flint and ride on to Silver City by way of long gulch We stopped at several other no name mining sites with old structures We had great weather to day with no rain alight wind and weather as expected on a snow floor.The trip was 55.5 miles on my meter and about 30 miles was on snow for the most part the snow was perhape 3 to 4 inches BUT there were som drifts of about 2 feet .Our higest elevation was in the order of 7500 feet We had 14 riders on 12 ATVs, I screwed up and left my 2 g card for my camera at hoe ans was only to capture 7 pictures

Jorden creaters trip May 8-2008
In May of 2008 some 33 ATVs and 35 riders ventured to Jorden Lalley creaters this was an a interesting trip to an out of the way corner of Oregon the next grout of photes will need to be addeded to later

We are parked some 5-6 miles west of Hwy 95 and 8 miles north of Jordan Valley there are 33 ATVs on this trip

August 8 2008 Four older retired types took an 1 day trip on the ATVs We drove 40 or so miles south of Jorden Valley and to the east and south to the Jumpter mountions the bike ride was for anouther 60 milesthe next 6 pictures show what much of the area looked like.

This log cabin appears to be in great shape triple pad locks on the doors and looking about the owner has an very large dog as evidence of the size of the scat. This would be an nice week end retreat, the name of this site is twin springs We did find on of the springs

This was a small Idaho City 7-20-08 ATV trip to Pilot Peak
The next 6 or so items are about a ATV trip to the Idaho City area, this is an large area and this trip is to Pilot Peak.It is located 21 or so miles north of Idaho city and is close to Hwy 21.
This ATV ride was the dustiest dirty ride I have been on .this trip was on 7-20-08 and there were 15 or so ATV We saw some interesting sights

On the way back to Idaho City We stopped and looked about at one on many gold mines in the area

Smoke from several fires We are well away from them this is lunch time we had a lot of traffic here today with moter bikes and fellow ATV riders in the area We crossed 8 streams climbed several ridges and rode perhape 22 miles on this part of the trip
I started here several years earler but my jeep and snow but a stop to that trip

Utah 2008 Sept
This area is east of Richfield and before the canyon lands there are 3 deer in among the green can you find them

Utah this trip was very nice and intersting We planned a trip trough the center of the state west to east I have wanted to see the canyon lands east of Richfield foe a long time We planned our fist evening stop in Richfield for a Friday evening and called to make reservation a week prior of I was lucky to get the last KOA cabbin avaible >There was an ATV gathering going on the comming week and we saw humdres of the critters on the hills roads there are many great areas to rid in Utah and the State has rose to the ocasion to help .I may put a ATV trip togather for that area!!

In Durango there is a very nice green belt some 7-10 miles in one direction a great ride with some great river frontage and some interesting Geo-caching sites

We had planned on meeting up with John and Bonnie,Linda and Nolene and Joe in Duran go this fall But IKE and the weather stopped part of the planned trip We were 1/2 way to Duran go when we checked our e-mail and discovered the changes.this worked best in that We may have canceled out if we knew sooner
As it was I had loaded up many GPS sites in Id Utah ,Colorado and AZ,We packed our gear to stay in KO As and had our bikes with us. A word about KOA's get a KOA rewards card it saves monies also get acquainted with there catalog and make reservation well in advance.
We did not have any bad experience with these forks .
Part of the trip was to take in the grand canyon this would have been great but I did not realise the need to reserve rooms 6 mo in advance.
As it was We meet up with Nolene and Joe as planned and had a great time We each had actives we proceeded to do and had those we did together My daughter and her husband joined us on day
We got into biking on the greenbelt,and did some sightseeing in Silverton and did some Geo caching some shopping , and did a gold mine tour.
We arrived on Sat evening Joe and Nolene the next day We stayed
till Friday Joe and Nolene went on there way towards Kansas We left for Page Az

Arizona sites Sept 19 2008
We are just outside Page Az the bridge is over the Colorado river I screwed up on this trip in that We wanted to see the upper grand canyon and I did not make reservations for a room It is 200 miles to a place for the night so next time I'll do better
My Father mentened this place quite often so Dad here we are Billie (shown) and I are here now It is a bunch of shops with some great looking items
Billie ahead of me .We are about 1/2 way trough this trip and already wish it not to end This has been a wonderfuf experence for us
There we about 30 people with our group. I beleave 26 were from other than the USA all were in wonder with this place
The Trip in the canyon will take 45 min or so ware proper footware sandles do not cut it,have a camera Digital works for me walk 5 steps and shoot the same direction you have a new pic.Antelope Canyon Page Az Sept 2008
This place will shut you up.and make you wonder, this it did for Me. My father who has been gone for many years often returns to my mind when I experience places such as this. He saw many places and shared his wonder with me I take my hat off for the caretakers of this wonderful place
