Aug 27,28,29,30 week end

Aug 28 &29 We camped at Ice Springs Which is located 14 miles west of Pine Idaho there were 28 riders and 25 ATVs for mthis week end We rode to Red Mt on Friday and on Sat we went to horse mountion at some 8000 ft elevation and saw an old fire look out no longer there .Our next stop was at Trinity mountion Fire look out all in all we rode 95 miles for the week end.

We ended the day with an hamburger hotdog cook out The night was interesting with a masive electric storm and thunder that went on and on It rained also

Aug 8 th 2009 ATV ride to the mountions of southern Idaho

This One day ATV ride was with 13 other older gents We rode 53 miles and went from 3200 feet elevation to about 10,000 ft .Our starting weather was calm,slight overcast and a hint of rain.We did encounter rain and wind at the top of Cinnabar mountion we were in the clouds and had 42 MPH wind and a temp of 60 degrees. We saw wild horses,several deer and a fair amount of mudd. We went to a canyon area called Sinker Creek then up a steep climb to Getie Mountion where we saw the horses.Down anouther hill called Chicken foot stopping at a Pond called Thomas Lake then around and up Cinnabar Mountion Where it was windy We went by the back side of War Eagle Mountion then into Silver City and back to our staging area

July 2009 camping trip to Fetherville Idaho

This is our secondary camp,The tent is closer to the river but during the day it is in the sun HOT HOT We are at the Chapell campground east of Featherville,Idaho. Sun down is an welcome change from the 95 degree heat But the bugs came out and a deer came trough camp

We have several tents and were happy we took this one on this trip otherwise the heat was quite bad

July 2009 Bishop and Mammouth Lakes Calif

This was an nice adventure ,hot and somewhat dusty the top picture is in Mammoth Lakes behind the Bread and Breakfast . the bottom is a view of Bishop Calif in the strip of green this day it was 100 degrees in Bishop ,Where I am it was about 75 .The rest of the shots are
of myself and Shell we are located in the Coyote range of hills south of Bishop A nice ride for the ATV and a nice view of some Glacers. We did get to an elevation of 10200 feet and a whole lot cooler than Bishop We did 44 miles in all.

The 3 buildings are the town of Grashmire in its interity all 3 buildings and it is for sale..The mountion with the rainbow and sun top is above our 2 day camp,The 45 sign is at the entrance of the main part of a very large ranch operation of many hundreds of acres of cattle operation,the ranch headquarters are shown. My ATV took 2 hours to clean the mud off when at home We ,5 of us drove 103 miles over the week end all in mudd

The ranch is located 56 miles east of the Duck Valley Indian Reseveratin located in the extream south west corner of Idaho. This is a nice place to fly over on GOOGLE EARTH.
